Fill in the Blank Media was honored to partner with Jovanka Beckles’ campaign to produce their only television spot and a suite of digital ads for her state senate run in District 7.
From concept to execution, we developed the creative vision and scripts by closely collaborating with the campaign team, conducting in-depth interviews with staff, and identifying key issues that resonated with constituents. Over multiple shoot days, we captured footage across the district—from Richmond to Berkeley to Oakland—including endorsement videos featuring elected officials and community leaders, as well as staging a dynamic mock-rally at Lake Merritt.
The result was a compelling series of ads that brought Jovanka’s message to life, culminating in a powerful TV spot that reached voters across the region.
Marisol Rubio’s campaign approached Fill in the Blank Media after seeing the success of our work on another race—an honor we didn’t take lightly. Collaborating closely with her team, we identified key issues that would resonate most with voters and developed a creative strategy for both television and digital ads.
Over multiple days of filming across District 9, we captured authentic moments with Marisol alongside key constituents and community leaders with a documentary-style approach.
The result was a campaign centerpiece video cut for web and TV, a series of topic-specific ads, and a motion design digital ad to diversify the campaign’s visual storytelling. This final suite of ads effectively showcased Marisol’s platform and connected with voters across multiple media channels.
Fill in the Blank Media was proud to partner with Jim Wood’s re-election campaign to produce a compelling four-part digital ad series. As Speaker pro Tempore of the California State Assembly, Jim had a strong record of service, and our goal was to highlight both his accomplishments and deep personal ties to the 2nd Assembly District.
Traveling throughout Northern California, we captured footage of Jim on the campaign trail, conducting on-the-ground interviews that showcased his leadership, commitment to fire recovery efforts, and dedication to the communities he represents. The resulting series provided an authentic, narrative-driven look at Jim’s impact and vision for the district.
Fill in the Blank Media had the privilege of producing the digital ad for John Avalos’ 2011 mayoral campaign, capturing his deep passion for San Francisco and commitment to its future. After interviewing John and collaborating with his campaign, we crafted a narrative that blended his personal story with his vision for the city.
Inspired by his daily bike commute to City Hall, we filmed a cinematic journey through the neighborhoods he championed, showcasing the unique character of San Francisco along the way. The ad culminates with John locking up his bike and ascending the steps of City Hall—a symbolic moment that reinforced his dedication to rolling up his sleeves and getting to work for the people of San Francisco.
